i have reset the permissions a few times then i thought maybe it was just chrome so i logged into snapchat and discord in the browser and they both are managing to connect to my camera fine

The device could not be activated. Please check the permissions by clicking on the lock symbol next to the address bar.” but i have reset all the site permissions to default so it had to ask me again, i even tried uninstalling my webcam & drivers then reinstalling them

New update if i switch to the mobile version on the desktop then set my microphone as my webcam it then lets me turn on my webcam but then i cant use my actual microphone
ok switching between mobile version and normal desktop version by just resizing the window when switching to mobile i get 0 mic options when i try and select another mic the only options it is actually is showing is all video sources like OBS, Nvidia broadcast and Elgato camera hub and the elgato camera but it shows they options in both the mic and camera choices in mobile version but in desktop version i get the same error message and it shows all my audio sources correctly

i have been trying to upload images but it says cant include it
and i just reset the permissions to ask again and it didnt work then i switched to the Watch2Gether to try that and the cam works there but i have to make my webcam my audio source first or i get the same error
Thanks for the details. Yes this is not a permission issue. I assume that we are trying to start a video source that is somehow available in your system but not ready to deliver a video signal. That fails and we are not giving your the option to select a different video source. I need to think about this for a moment… will get back to you soon.
