Why does watch2together not work at all?

i was in the middle of watching a video and the website hasn’t been working for an entire week, i checked everything it told me to but there shouldn’t be any problem (video being age restricted, me not being signed in to youtube, vpn/adblocker) , other people from the room have no problem with the videos. is there any way to fix this?

Thanks for getting in touch. Occasionally it can happen that YouTube blocks access to their embedded videos on an individual basis because they (often wrongfully) think that some kind of automated bot is accessing the site. Are you using some kind of VPN software on your system? This could potentially cause this issue.

It might help to login to your YouTube account with the same browser that you are using for Watch2Gether and / or try a different browser.

In most cases, however, the issue should resolve itself without any further interventions within a day.

I hope this helps!

i have same issue no vpn ad block .90% of videos for me bring up install extension . my fiancé in Panama sees all videos in fine . i am yt premium member and signed in this is new in last week or so . if you want to recreate the issue just play random music videos . www.youtube.com/watch?v=ddkbVYutRXA&list=PL4fGSI1pDJn69On1f-8NAvX_CYlx7QyZc&index=6 she can watch i can not . happens randomly to podcasts and other videos i just mute w2g now and talk to her due to i dont see any of the videos

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Are you sure that your don‘t have any kind of Adblock extension enabled in your browser? Not all extensions are visible in the browser ui. Are the videos playing for you when you open Watch2Gether in an incognito window ?

edge and opera nothing no ad block just happened again . we are making fun of music video and now nothing plays for me and plays for her https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jipq5q-FBH0

w2g is semi useless for me btw computer she uses is same as one i use just different locations

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately this is an issue on YouTube‘s side and I can only try to help you finding the cause. Usually this happens because of ad blockers or VPN software installed on the system. That’s why I’m asking for these points. Do you have the option to try a different internet connection? In which country are you located?

usa no vpns no plug ins etc
