Watch room is not video sync

I am new to Watch2Gether and I have tested the invite friend to watch video but they do not see what I see ie not sync. Is there a sync button or something I have to do to get this to work. I’ve aleady wasted a lot of time on this and it appears not to be as simple as it is portrayed.

I have been using watch2gether for about a month (since lockdown started!). Although there are occasions when the syncing does not automatically happen, a simply refreshing of the page is usually enough to fix the problem (sometimes, both sides should refresh, or restart browsers).

Which browsers and devices are you using? I have noticed some issues with mobile devices.

Thank you for your reply I have used both Samsung smart phone and Apple iPad.

PS I am using YouTube files.
