Volume Temporarily at 100% For All Room Users at New Video Start

Hi!

Me and my group love Watch2Gether and have been using it for a few years. However, in the past months, we have all been experiencing a volume bug which can be quite annoying. The problem is as follows:

  • A new video will be linked to Watch2Gether (doesn’t matter who links it)
  • The video will start
  • The volume will jump to 100% for ALL users for a split second before returning to the user’s setting

While this does not prevent us from enjoying the benefits of this website, it IS quite annoying, especially when we use music as background ambience.

Hi there, not the OP, but it seems like the issue is gone!
My DM and I am testing it right now with music we couldn’t use in our D&D Campaign the other day, because it kept blasting us with these colume spikes.

Tested it with a few videos today and the issue indeed seems to be gone. Awesome, me and my group can now fully enjoy the videos again. Thank you very much for such a quick response and fix!
