Video Sync Issues with YouTube on Chrome

Hello,

I have noticed that when using Watch2Gether to watch YouTube videos with friends; the video sometimes falls out of sync for different users. This happens randomly after we pause and resume a video. Some users see the video continuing from the paused position; while others see it from a few seconds ahead or behind.

Browser: Chrome Version 115.0.5790.98

OS: Windows 10

Location: United States

We tried refreshing the page and even creating a new room; but the problem still there . Has anyone else experienced this issue? I have checked https://community.w2g.tv/t/about-the-bugs-category/20- splunk reference guide but still need help .

Any tips ; workarounds would be appreciated!

Thanks a lot for your feedback. With “a few seconds” do you mean 2-3 seconds or much more? How do you know that the videos are out of sync? Through the sound of the webcam / mic?
