Video Sound Issue

On the desktop version, when watching YouTube videos, when I enable my microphone so we can have voice chat, the YouTube video sound goes off completely and I can find no setting or control to get it back, without disabling my microphone. When I’ve used it on mobile, this doesn’t seem to be an issue, only on desktop. Does it sound like I’m doing something obviously wrong? Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks for your feedback! Which browser in which version are you using?

Hi Florian, thank you for your response. The issue occurred in MS Edge. However I think there may be more to it than I first thought… I was actually using a Bluetooth headset at the time, and there was no video sound when I enabled the microphone in W2G, then I noticed you can change the sound output device in W2G, so I changed it to the laptop speaker and it worked, then immediately I changed it back to the headset and it worked! So I’m not sure what the problem really is. I tried the above procedure a second time and the same series of steps was observed. Switching from Bluetooth headset to laptop speaker and back again seems to resolve it, but I have no idea why.

Thanks the info! It seem like you have a bit more complex setup there with an additional headset. Im just wondering… how do you change the output device? I assume this is actually not a feature of Watch2Gether but of your browser…
