I’ve been trying out Watch2Gether for having YouTube playlist watch parties. It’s seems to run smoothly with good synching between users, but I’m struggling with the sound on the video-audio chat feature. Room members voices seem to be drowned out by the sound from the video playing. I tried to change the volume on individual room members by using the volume sliders on their pane, but it seems a bit hit and miss. There’s a lot of “what, pardon, speak up, repeat that” going on… any advice on how to improve that aspect so you can have a clear conversation in the room while videos are playing? Other than that element which seems like a drawback, it seems really good. Hopefully I’m missing something that can be tweaked to improve the video-audio chat feature! At the moment, my daughter is saying we should use the video sharing functionality on Watch2Gether but have a simultaneous chat via video call on other devices on a different platform, but that kind off defeats the object I think; also not everyone has the luxury of additional devices…
You are right this is not optimal. Using headsets would fix that for sure, but that might not be an option for everyone. How many users do you have in your room?
