Repeat function not working with youtube videos

As of recent, using the repeat function will stop working and pause the youtube video shortly after repeat, typically after more than 2 repeats have already happened. Regardless of how native controls/repeat is used, this result inevitably happens all the same.

Thanks for your feedback! Iā€˜ll have a look into this today.

I’m trying to reproduce the issue, but the repeat function is working fine for me so far. Are you referring to the automatic repeat function that can be enabled in the player menu? (This automatically repeats a video after it has ended.)

Hello. Apologies for the late reply. I returned to watch2gether to check and found the same issue recurring, yes with the automatic repeat function in the player menu. To very specifically recount my experience today, I looped this video first (Our Mission - Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Original Soundtrack) and experienced no problems, it looped forever without problem. Then, I switched to this video (Someone Behind the Scenes - Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Original Soundtrack) and the problem appeared, the video abruptly pausing after one or two loops (I wasn’t paying attention due to believing the problem was gone. I attempted to try another video with the same content (It seems I can’t put more than two links in a reply) but the problem happened again, the video pausing after just one loop.

Thanks a lot for the details. Were you alone in the Watch2Gether room when testing this?

I was not. I was there with two others, and at other times up to four.

Been having issues with this as well, yeah. It’s not isolated to a single room, but it does seem to be happening mostly in rooms with multiple people. When the player loops, there’s a random chance one of the people in the room will ā€œpauseā€ the video. (obviously no one is manually pausing when this happening, as we use it for background music)

Thanks that was helpful. I think i know now what might cause this issue. I’ll look into this ASAP.

For those of you experiencing this issue: I have just rolled out an update that should resolve this issue. I would be very grateful if you could try it out and let me know if the loop function works better now. Thank you for your help!
