My Girlfriend has been having problems with her Watch2gether where she has to refresh the page every time in order for a video to start playing and sometimes restart multiple times just for it to start for her.

Yes, she is using Google Chrome
Do you know which version? You could try to disable installed plugins one by one and check if one of them is causing problems.
