Title. Please I am begging you. It would be nice to finally have the ability to re-order playlists back. I am getting so tired of having to delete and re-create playlists to order them. It’s been years.
Thanks for your feedback! This may sound like a stupid question… Why is reordering the playlists such an important feature for you?
When I use W2G, it’s for games of Dungeons & Dragons I’m running, some of which have gone on for years and accumulated a a lot of playlists. When I’m running a game, I’m already doing 10 things at once, and having to spend 20-30 seconds looking for the correct playlist for a combat encounter or environment every single time breaks my flow and adds up over the course of a 4-hour session. That’s why I like to keep them organized so that I can easily find what I’m looking for.
At the moment, I’m using YouTube to organize my actual playlists imported into W2G since their features are better for it, and regularly prune my W2G playlists to keep as few of them on W2G as I can, but it’s not a great solution since there seems to be a hard limit on how many songs you can import, so for playlists over 100 songs, I have to sit and manually enter every entry after the 100th.
Thanks for the input. Do you think a simple system where playlists are ordered alphabetically would already help? You could then order the lists by renaming them.
That would be a 100x better than nothing, for sure! Something like being able to drag playlists up and down in the Manage Playlists menu would be the best possible thing for me, but I assume there’s some technical hitch behind how playlists are organized which makes that difficult?
Yes the difficulty is that not only the playlist items are synchronized with all users in a room but also the playlists and their order. That makes it a bit more complex to implement the sorting since we have to make sure that everything stays in sync, conflicts are resolved and so on. But I have it on the radar now and will work on it asap.
