Heya,
I was just wondering if there was a way to make the new layout work on a half size window, since most of it is now obstructed by banners and the actual video size is about a 3rd of what it used to be. If there is no way to get around that, then can we please have a way to toggle the old layout? even if its no longer supported?

Thanks for your feedback. What is the resolution of your half size window?
Iām not the original poster, but on a 2560x1440 display, having the W2G window snapped at half size on the left or right means the video is only 784x441
Happens on both my 1080p windows. I meant like, having another program on half of the screen (discord or whatever) and then having the watch2gether room on the right half of the screen. It makes it so the actual viewing window is tiny, and most of the screenspace is taken up by banners for the invites, the playlist and etc
was the old Design disabled complete? i want the old Design for me backā¦ -.-
Thanks for the feedback! Iāll run some tests at that size tomorrow.
Yes, the old design has been disabled. More than 99% of our users use the new layout and itās too complex to maintain two different layouts. But I am very open to suggestions on how to improve the new layout to make it work for you as well.
My current recommendations on how to change the layout would be to make all the side parts collapsible, like the banner on the left side(the one that has the invites, room settings permissions, etc) The playlists (Iād keep the ānext video/skipā button accessible at all times), the recommended videos, users in the room, all of the parts that are not the video themselves, since most of those windows are āsetupā windows youāll configure at the start of a new room.
Also, thanks for actually listening to criticism, and working with the community. A lot of devs donāt actually do that, so props to you all on that!
Thanks for your feedback! Would it be an option for you to use the mobile layout? It will be automatically selected if the screen aspect ration is āmobile likeā.
That does work a bit better, iāll use that for now, thanks!
