Recently music bots have been getting shut down on discord. The main reason is how they don’t show ads, don’t register as views on the video, and have a premium service of their own to make money off of youtube. This seems fairly similar to w2g so I’m worried that y’all will get a c&d letter as well.
The main issue with the bots seems to be that they play audio without showing the video while Watch2Gether uses Youtube’s official, unchanged embedded player and always shows the video as well. Neither do we interfere with any ads placed in the player by Youtube.
