I really enjoy the Watch2Gether direct link feature. The problem I was encountering on several video hosting websites is, that although they provide direct links to their videos, the link doesn’t end with the file type extension.
My suggestion would be that instead of just checking the file type extension of the provided link checking the “content-type” header. That would really open up many new websites to watch videos from. I would greatly appreciate that.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! Checking the content-type header would require to send an HTTP request for every URL entered by a user… However, there might be a simpler option to force direct playback.
