Constant Video Buffering Issues (retopic)

I’ve been using W2G with a bunch of my friends for years now and I never used to have this issue, but within say the last 2-3 months I’ve run into consistent problems with video buffering using the plugin (these videos are not YouTube, which actually runs great, never had any issues, it’s literally any other video source, usually movies/tv shows/anime). It’s not my internet, I’m sure of that since I have fiber and often test the up/down speeds to make sure it’s not just dying on me or something. Also, the same videos I try to watch on W2G that I have buffering issues with seem to have no real issues when I watch them alone without W2G. Not sure if W2G is just somehow putting undue strain on my connection and occasionally just cuts the buffering? Basically a video will work just fine for however long, could be 10 minutes, 20 minutes, an hour and a half, it varies, but eventually it hits a spot where the buffer is just too slow to keep up/buffering simply stops. This can be temporarily reprieved by reloading the page, and performing a DNS flush seems to help a tiny bit, but it will without fail happen again eventually within the same video. This has been incredibly frustrating and I need to find a way for the videos to go back to simply just loading and continue loading through to the end of the video without me having to do this whole song and dance with them. I do not use a VPN while watching and I have tried turning off my adblockers positively miniscule effect. Any help is appreciated.

Thanks for your feedback! Do I understand correctly that you are referring to videos that you watch in a separate window using W2gSync and our browser extension? Two questions:

  • Can you share which platform most of these videos are from?
  • Which browser are you using?

Yes, I’m specifically referring to the browser pop-out.

I’ve experienced it on 3 platforms, but 2 primarily: aniwatchtv.to, and sflix2.to. The third was miruro.tv but they’ve been having server issues of their own on their end, so testing on that site is more or less impossible at the time being.

I have used Google Chrome as my browser for each of these platforms.

Thanks! Do others in the group you are watching with experience the same issues?

Here and there occasionally, but I’m the only one consistently experiencing it.

Okay i will try to reproduce this issue and see what I can do about it. If you have any further info on how to reproduce the issue, please let me know…
