Can’t turn Auto Generated Closed Captions off

Every video has Auto Generated Closed Captions turned on and there is no way to disable it.

No it isnt activated in my Youtube-Settings.

I, too, cannot turn auto-generated closed captions off. It isn’t even an option on the settings cog wheel - they are just on automatically, and there’s no way to turn them off. It’s very annoying.

What you can try: Open the room settings, go to personal settings and turn on „native player controls“ With the next video that starts you should see Youtube’s native controls with the option to toggle captions. Does that help?
